Frequently Asked Questions

We have summarized a FAQ list below. Trust they will answer most of your questions about Jun Photo Studio’s photography services and rates. Please feel free to contact us for any further questions or concerns. Thank you.

What is the process if I hire you?

Please check the "How does it work?" page for a step-by-step guideline.

Do you provide Amazon product photography and videography?

Yes, we have many Amazon customers and have taken many Amazon photos and videos. Therefore, we are very familiar with the visual requirements for Amazon listings. Please check our Amazon page for more information.

Do you charge per hour, per image, or per video?

From years of experience, we find that unlike other industries, photography is a very customized business. When the shooting subjects and requirements change, the cost can be very different. Therefore, we may either charge per photo/video or hour/day, or we may quote a lump sum fee. Having said that, we do have some pricing guidelines under each photography category. We have minimum order rates for each type of photography, you can find the pricing list here. Please check and feel free to contact us for a quote based on your specific needs.

Does your price include photo editing/retouching/graphic design/video editing?

By default, our quotations are all inclusive. The price always includes shooting, editing and graphic design, which means the pictures and videos will be ready for website or printing purposes. However, model fee, MUA fee, location fee, props or food cost may be extra. Of course, if you only want RAW photos/video footages, we can also quote accordingly.

Can I get a discount for bulk photography?

Yes for sure. When we quote, we will take the job complexity and order volume into consideration.

Do you provide on-location product shots?

Yes, but we have a minimum charge request for any on-location jobs. For example, we charge a minimum of $500 for any on-site product photography assignment, as we need to set up a studio at your location before we can start shooting. If your products are not too big, we prefer to take the photos in our professionally equipped studio. The final cost of your project will vary with the nature of the job.

How can I pay?

Our default payment method is Paypal. However, we also accept payment via Payoneer, WiseWorldfirstAlipayWechat pay and bank wire. Credit card payments are not accepted.

What is your lead time?

For product photography and videography, depending on the project complexity and our workload, the turnaround time will be 10 days AFTER we receive your products, your clear instructions AND the 50% deposit.

For other types of photos and videos, after the photo shoot, images will be ready in 10 days depending on your editing requirements and our workloads.

Why does it take you so long to take just a few photos?

First of all, we are always busy and we work with many customers at the same time. It is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED practice. Please note that we schedule work one week ahead. In addition, professional photography is more than just pressing the shuttle. It takes time to produce high quality photos. It also takes time to edit them and do the graphic design. If you can give us more time, we will try our best to deliver outputs beyond your expectations.

Can I expedite the order if I want the photos urgently?

Yes for sure, but we will ask the client to pay extra cost for urgent orders with lead time less than 5 days.

What file formats do you offer?

All photos we submit are high-resolution, which are ready for both website usage and printings/magazines/catalogues/posters etc. By default, we will send photos in 3000X3000 pixels JPG format. But jewellery photography is an exception. For jewelry photos, our regular price is based on the photo size of 2000X2000 pixels. If you want bigger pictures, the price will be higher. We can also provide PNG, PSD and TIFF formats, but you must request these formats before shooting. We ask for an extra editing fee of USD20 if you want formats other than JPG.

How can I obtain the final images?

We will send you a secure link to download all the hi-res photos after you have approved of them and after we have received the full payment.

Will you reshoot if I am not satisfied with your works at all?

To save both time and cost, we try to understand your needs clearly before shooting and try to avoid reshoot if possible. We understand sometimes changes are inevitable, so we do allow ONE free revision if the request is reasonable.

However, we do NOT offer unlimited changes. If you want any changes after seeing the first proof photos, please specify your needs as detailed as possible, so that we can make the changes all at once. Further revisions will incur additional charges unless the 2nd revision is a result of our own mistake. Of course, on the other hand, minor adjustments are acceptable.

Do you take test shoots for products?

Yes, we welcome test shoots, especially for new customers with many products. However, we DO NOT offer test shoots for free.

Can you shoot more photos than I buy, then I choose what I want at the end?

Yes, we can. But for product photography, the unit price for each image you eventually choose will cost more since it will require more time and effort on our end. Also, you are required to pick 60% or more photos among all the photos produced.

Will you refund the 50% deposit if I cannot accept the photos?

No sorry, the deposit is NON refundable, as it is used to cover the costs and efforts we have spent. If you are not fully satisfied with our work, you can pick half of the photos/video clips that you can accept for the deposit you have paid.

What kind of equipment do you use for photo shoot?

In our opinion, what matters is not what gears we use, but what images we can deliver. Nevertheless, we do use state-of-the-art professional photography equipment to create our artworks, i.e. cameras of brands such as Nikon/Canon/Sony and a wide range of lenses, plus Elinchrom lighting system.
